A Doctrine of Economic Security: The Acts of Prophet Noble Drew Ali- Acts 1-7

By Yahashua Bin IsraEL

April 2023

The First Seven Acts (of 49)

What is an act?

o   Federal laws are bills that have passed both houses of Congress, been signed by the president, passed over the president's veto, or allowed to become law without the president's signature. Individual laws, also called acts, are arranged by subject in the United States Code.

o   If the president signs the bill, it becomes a law. Laws are also known as Acts of Congress. Statute is another word that is used interchangeably with law.

o   An act is a part of a play defined by elements such as rising action, climax, and resolution. A scene normally represents actions happening in one place at one time, and is marked off from the next scene by a curtain, a black-out, or a brief emptying of the stage.

o   take action; do something.; "they urged Washington to act"

o   behave in the way specified. "they followed the man who was seen acting suspiciously"

o   take effect; have a particular effect. "blood samples are analyzed to find out how the drug acts in the body"

o   perform a fictional role in a play, movie, or television production. "she acted in her first professional role at the age of six"

These acts or actions of physical work, effort, writing, speaking, and doing the work of uplifting fallen humanity give us some insight into the direction planned for the MDNM and the MSTA by Prophet Noble Drew Ali and the Great God Allah.

Preach with Zeal about these acts, then plan and work to produce the intended result of the act, in modern day and time; mass and energy traveling through space and  time in the present!

These acts happened when Prophet Noble Drew Ali was physically alive in the 1920s. It is now over 100 years later.

Study and Follow these acts and find success in the Moorish Divine and National Movement.

Acts (1-7)

      I.         Preach and Promote Economic Security and a Doctrine of Economic Security.

"In connection with our religious aims and beliefs, we must promote economic security. The preaching of economic security among us is by no means as widespread and intensive as the circumstances demand. No other one thing is more needed among us at this time than greater economic power.

Better positions for our men and women, more business employment for our boys and girls and bigger incomes will follow our economic security. We shall be secure in nothing until we have economic power. A beggar people cannot develop the highest in them, nor can they attain a genuine enjoyment of the spiritualities of life."

-MOORISH LEADER'S HISTORICAL MESSAGE TO AMERICA, Prophet Noble Drew Ali

“The Doctrine of economic security is by no means as widespread and intensive as is needed.”

     II.            Be Industrious

“The industrious acts of the Moslems of the northwest and southwest Africa. These are the Moabites, Hamathites, Canaanites, who were driven out of the land of Canaan, by Joshua, and received permission from the Pharoahs of Egypt to settle in that portion of Egypt. In later years they formed kingdoms. These kingdoms are called this day Morocco, Algiers, Tunis, Tripoli, etc.”

Holy Koran of the Moorish Science Temple of America

III.            Have Press, Media, News, Communications, Broadcasting, etc.

“The greatest weapon in the hands of our group today in America is our press.”

The prophet also launched a publishing company, which also provided jobs and business opportunities for those of part of the Moorish American community.

IV.            Have and Use an Upliftment Fund

“It is through the faithful Moors that contribute to the Movement and Uplifting Funds. The ones that paid their divine respect to me and the movement will be remembered. That is why I’m calling upon all faithful Moors to increase their faithfulness to me your profit and your divine Moorish movement. I need financing I needed bad. Never before have I needed finance as badly as I do at present, that I may shove aside the discord that is facing the nation. It all comes to jealousy because of my “fame and nobility.””

    V.            Have Our Own Town

Notice to all Moors!

“Write a letter to the supreme business manager, 3140 Indiana Ave., Chicago, IL, and let him know what you think of the Moors having their own town, own Mayor, alderman, chief of police, judges, City Hall, own temples, own lands, own houses, own parks and business establishments.”

A King's Knowledge, Wisdom ,and Understanding; Book of Proverbs Work Study Course

King Solomon wrote the Book of Proverbs which are instructions of wisdom. The Book of Proverbs is in the form of parables, stories, riddles, and wise sayings. They offer a unique perspective on making decisions, living life, and how to be successful.

By studying the Book of Proverbs, particularly for men, there is an opportunity to get insight not only from a king, not only from a Black king or ruler, but also from the wisest man that lived and whose knowledge has continued on for thousands of years.

By reading the Book of Proverbs the reader is offered the possibility of duplicating the best results of a King. The reader will increase in knowledge wisdom and understanding, make better decisions, learn how to earn more money, have better relationships with the opposite sex as well as with people in general, and learn to be successful in living a prosperous and joyful life.

Additionally, Solomon is credited with building the first temple of Jerusalem, which is highly detailed in the Torah/ Old Testament. In a spiritual sense, building the Temple is like building your body or the house where God is found living in. Solomon’s Temple is often compared to the building of the temple of man.

1 Book of Corinthians 6:19-20

“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

Who was King Solomon?

King Solomon was the son of King David and was considered to be the wisest man on the planet. He was the King of IsraEL. People came from all over the earth to seek his counsel. He reigned for 80 years as King, and is highly respected in the Torah, Bible, and Qur’an. He built the first Temple of Jerusalem.

Biblically, God appeared to Solomon in a dream and promised him anything he asked. Solomon chose understanding and discernment, asking God to help him govern his people well and wisely. God was so pleased with the request that he granted it, along with great riches, honor, and longevity.

  • Solomon was the third king over Israel.
  • Solomon ruled with wisdom over Israel for 40 years, securing stability through treaties with foreign powers.
  • He is celebrated for his wisdom and for building the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem.
  • Solomon wrote much of the book of Proverbs, the Song of Solomon, the book of Ecclesiastes, and two psalms.

·       He was also exceedingly wealthy and ruled over large amounts of territory. From his lineage he continued a line of kings that ruled over the nation called Ethiopia, the last of which was Emperor Haile Selassie I.

1 Kings 3:11-15

11 And God said to him, “Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life or riches or the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern what is right,

12 behold, I now do according to your word. Behold, I give you a wise and discerning mind, so that none like you has been before you and none like you shall arise after you.

13 I give you also what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that no other king shall compare with you, all your days.

14 And if you will walk in my ways, keeping my statutes and my commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”

15 And Solomon awoke, and behold, it was a dream. Then he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and offered up burnt offerings and peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.

Song of Solomon 1:5

I am dark (black), but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.

1 Kings 4:29-34

29 God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.

What is the Book of Proverbs?

The Book of Proverbs is found in the Old Testament of the Bible and are short sayings of high wisdom in the form of parables, stories, riddles, and wise sayings that are primarily from King Solomon. The Book of Proverbs compiles numerous short instructions for living an effective life on earth. Proverbs concerns itself completely with instructing people in the path of wisdom. Proverbs contains some of the most applicable nuggets of truth found in the whole of the Bible.

Some say that the Book of Proverbs was revealed to Solomon by God, some say he compiled these proverbs from other sources, and some say he received some of the proverbs from his father, who wrote much of the Book of Psalms.

Book of Genesis Chapters One and Two are Science-based Creation Stories; Work Study Course on the Way

I am working on completing a Work Study Course for The Book of Geneses Chapter 1 and 2

Purpose of this study course guide:

The purpose of this study course guide is twofold.

First, it is to guide you through this course of study about the Book of Genesis Chapter 1 and 2. It is to help you better understand what a “creation story” is, and what the creation story of the Bible or Torah is.

The Bible is a collection of Books. The Book of Genesis is the first book in the torah and bible. The “creation story” or the story of how the heavens and the earth were first created are found in Genesis 1 and 2.

From a Hebrew perspective the Torah, which is originally written in Hebrew, is a book of science and mathematics that contains codes, formulas, symbols, as well as instruction and guidance. The Study of the Book of Genesis helps to answer questions like, “where did I come from”, “how was I created”, “how was man and woman created”, “how old is man, hold old is the earth, civilization, and existence”!

The Book of Genesis teaches that creation was made in seven days and provides an open opportunity for students and wise people to study and review daily, what was done on each day of creation. By studying the Book of Genesis and its first chapters on a daily basis serves as a reminder that God (the father) is a creator and so are his offspring (son’s daughters of God). It is reminder about being productive on a daily basis.

The purpose of this daily study is for the reader to reflect on productivity, being productive, what that looks like on a high level, and how it can be done in our individual life.

Second, this course of study is to help you get comfortable with reading and studying divine scripture and to get comfortable with metaphors, similes, comparisons, concepts, and the many different ways of thinking. Religious scripture can be read from many different viewpoints, and it is important to understand that fact, but also to take charge of understanding you own thinking and viewpoint.

The questions asked will help you with this!

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Moorish American Leaders, Lloyd Douglass EL and Minister Khnum, on Preaching Economic Security

Prophet Noble Drew Ali is the founder of the Moorish Science Temple of America and the Moorish Divine and National Movement. At the height of the movement, it had numerous business enterprises, grocery stores, meat markets, schools, and laundry mats, all while the Prophet inspired the idea of having a Moorish Village!

Prophet Noble Drew Ali also had political influence with politicians of his time, but mysteriously died (or passed) an untimely death.

The Doctrine of Economic Security Volume I, From the Writings of Prophet Noble Drew Ali

was created with the mindset to extract all mentions of business, money, economics, finance, and the like from the fundamental writings of Prophet Noble Drew Ali and the Moorish Science Temple of America, including: Moorish Literature, Koran Questions (101s), Divine Bylaws and Constitution, and the Questionnaire and Additional Laws.

It is the desire of the author to once again see (in 2022 and beyond) Moorish Americans own and operate grocery stores, markets, laundry businesses, and the like- similar to the days of when Prophet Noble Drew Ali physically walked amongst us.

The Doctrine of Economic Security: Moorish Jews Business Insider Tip #2 Study the Book of Proverbs

The Moorish Science Temple of Moorish Jews is a somewhat mysterious group that preceded the Moorish Science Temple of America. It operated around 1889 - 1925, but actual dates are hazy! Some scholars have written that Prophet Noble Drew Ali was a member, however it is not widely accepted.

For the purposes of this blog post, Noble Drew Ali's writings include many references to what I term as "Judaic Sciences", or information related to "Jewish" theology, the Torah or Old Testament. Including in that bulk of information is King Solomon, the son of King David, the King of Jerusalem.

In the Koran Questions or 101s, King Solomon is mentioned as being lineage to Jesus and Jesus is a large part of Noble Drew Ali's teachings. King Solomon was considered to be one of the wisest men to have lived because God granted him wisdom. He is the primary author of the Book of Proverbs, which constantly reminds the reader to seek wisdom and understanding.

With that principle in mind, seeking wisdom, I advise Moorish Americans (specifically men) to study the Book of Proverbs. I have found great value in it. It includes 31 chapters, making it easy to read in a months time.

Because Prophet Noble Drew Ali advocates preaching economic security and wrote 'the more written and said on the subject the better', studying the book of proverbs fits very well!
