"Minister Farrakhan addressed women and men, on separate occasions, both times at Mosque Maryam adjacent to Muhammad University of Islam. The location of the speech is of consequence! Not that the meeting was at Mosque Maryam, but more so because it was next to the Muhammad University of Islam.
It was as if this was a graduation at the end of a course of study, however no diplomas were given out, only council. The speech was not a commencement speech, but more so a lecture of guidance that may get the student a diploma and a graduation date.
Collectively, the attendees make up ‘a class’, a group of witnesses/ students, those that attended, that answered the call-in person or by webcast, that took the council, the tongue lashing, the loving correction, the critical critiques, the questioning and criticisms. This is a specific group, a class of men that were held accountable to a standard and addressed in reference to that standard. This class may be in the tens of thousands."

The 31st
Anniversary of the Million-Man March, the Holy Day of Atonement has concluded.
A weekend full of events took place this past weekend and was attended by
thousands. The leadership of the Nation of Islam successfully hosted this major
holiday without the public participation of the Honorable Minister Louis
Farrakhan, which may have only happened once since the Million Man March in
1995.
Congratulations and thank you to the NOI Student
National Assistant Ishmael Muhammad, the NOI Student Supreme Captain Mustafa
Farrakhan, the Shura Council, and the many believers all over the nation and
world.
Now that the planning and excitement of the day and
events have concluded, the members of the NOI can once again continue to
reflect on the significant women’s only and men’s only meetings that occurred
in August and September 2026, just a few weeks prior to the Holy Day of
Atonement 2026.

This men’s class of 2026 includes many notable persons
including businessman Russell Simmons, recording artist 2 Chainz, Catholic
Priest-Father Phlleger, and Professor H.A. Jabar.
This was a “NO B.S.” meeting! It was very direct and
serious. Therefore, those that attended and received the message given should
continually reflect on the message given by a Master Teacher, with a track
record of results unlike anyone on the planet.
I refer to this class of students as “The New
Beginning Class of 2026: A Second Iteration”. During Minister Farrakhan’s
lecture he mentioned that this was a ‘new beginning’. He said something very
similar during the rededication of Mosque Maryam many years previous.
A first iteration represents the 44 years that Elijah
Muhammad worked amongst the so-called negroes in North America after his
teacher left and what happened when he left. The second iteration represents
Minster Farrakhan’s era and what will happen after he leaves.
We have been taught by a master teacher, and the term
has ended, however final examinations have yet to begin. During the era of the
Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, he worked for 44 years in the absence of his
teacher and afterwards “it was time for a test”, and Warith Deen Muhammad was
the professor that gave the last test (according to Minister Farrakhan in the
‘Swan Song’ lecture)
In current day and time, Minister Farrakhan has worked
44 years + in the absence of his teacher and this time at hand, the situation
and circumstances present – reveal that a test is taking place.
This “NOTE” serves an introductory note to a set of
“class notes” taken by Brother John of St. Petersburg, Florida, and individuals
that organized the notes and synthesized the notes and distributed them,
including Brother Clarence Muhammad of Birmingham, Alabama.
The “class notes” detail Minister Farrakhan’s all
men’s meeting and the subjects he went over. These notes provide an excellent
reminder of what was covered and may help the student pass the test that is to
take place.

An Editorial Introduction to the Return of The Zion Standard Weekly
There are seasons in the life of a church when memory must become mission.
This Lenten season, as the Church enters a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal, we also reclaim a sacred instrument of connection — The Zion Standard Weekly.
Before the long-running official organ, Star of Zion, was established in 1876, the A.M.E. Zion Church spoke boldly to its people through earlier publications that shaped thought, sharpened faith, and unified a growing movement. Among them stood the Zion Standard and Weekly Review, produced in New York to inform and unite members, to disseminate church news, theological instruction, and community commentary.
It was edited by Rev. S.T. Jones — later Bishop Singleton T. Jones — whose editorial stewardship proved that the Black pulpit and the Black press were twin pillars of liberation.
Other denominational voices emerged as well. The Zion Church Advocate in Washington, D.C., chronicled church life and civic engagement in the nation’s capital. These papers were not merely ink and paper; they were instruments of spiritual formation, abolitionist courage, and denominational unity.
Out of those early efforts grew the enduring Star of Zion, which continues faithfully today as the principal official publication of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, offering news, commentary, and global updates to a worldwide communion.
But history is not only to be remembered — it is to be continued.

February 26, 2026, falls within the sacred observance of Lent — a season of recalibration and return. In an era defined by digital noise, fractured attention, and rapid technological change, the Church must once again anchor its voice in disciplined, thoughtful, Spirit-led journalism.
The rebirth of The Zion Standard Weekly is not a replacement for existing denominational publications. It is a complementary revival — recognizing the deep need for a "Black Church Revival" and "Black Church Revivalist"
It is a digital-forward, spiritually grounded weekly edition designed to:
